OVERVIEW

Achieving a favorable ranking in the OCIMF/SIRE Database is crucial for independent tanker vessel owners to secure employment opportunities for their ships.

Conducting a Pre-vetting Inspection can significantly reduce or even eliminate the likelihood of receiving negative feedback during a SIRE Vetting, thereby helping to sustain a low observation score in the database.

In a Pre-vetting Inspection, we board the vessel to conduct a comprehensive examination of all relevant areas concerning the SIRE Vetting program, with particular emphasis on the Vessel Inspection Questionnaire (VIQ) to adequately prepare the vessel for the forthcoming vetting process.

The primary aim is to detect any shortcomings that, based on the inspector's expertise, may lead to unfavorable outcomes during a SIRE Vetting.

Throughout the inspection, the crew members in charge of different departments on board receive immediate guidance to ensure they are optimally prepared for the vetting process.

The vessel Operator will receive a comprehensive report containing recommendations within 48 hours after the Pre-vetting Inspection concludes. Additionally, the Master will be given a summary and guidance before the inspector departs from the vessel.

We are also available to assist with the Owner's response in cases where negative observations arise following a SIRE Vetting, upon request.
